Two major things have changed since the start of the Dutch CD-i Magazine. For one, the name has changed two times, from "Oog & Oor" in 1999 to "Home Entertainment Today (HET)" in 2003. Another thing that has changed is its content: Ofcourse they don't discuss CD-i anymore but they shifted to consumer electronics and gadgets, including television, hi-fi, computers etcetera. The dutch magazine was an initiative by Bose. Bose was a high quality producer of audio systems and adopted CD-i as a major boost for their products. The magazine started in 1987. The CD-i offspring started in 1994 and continued as Oog & Oor in 1999. Philips was no part of the deal which was different with the UK CD-i Magazine: Philips funded the UK edition so you couldn't speak of real independency! The magazine in Holland was published by HUB and "HET Magazine" still is. I like it a lot that still a few people who worked at the original CD-i Magazine are still there. While it has nothing to do with CD-i anymore, it has still grown up thanks to the interactive era by Philips CD-i!
