No other than Phil Hartman promoted CD-i in two hilarious CD-i commercials that popped up on Youtube recently. Typically American, it is as over the top as the 30 minutes lasting CD-i Infomercial about the Meaning of Life. It's the first time that I see CD-i promoted in the name of Magnavox instead of Philips, while I know Magnavox is better known than the Philips brand in the US in the early ninetees. But at a price of 300 dollar for the CD-i 450 this was perhaps meant to to it a little different. I remember Phil Hartman for his great character voicing in The Simpsons.
