The Interactive Dreams is a spin-off from The Black Moon Project, started in 2005 with various interviews and behind-the-scenes of developers who worked on CD-i and prototypes that never saw the light of day on CD-i. Over the years it also covered all mayor articles from other CD-i websites, mainly when websites were shut down, ceased to exist or asked us for hosting their archive materials. In this way, Interactive Dreams became the biggest CD-i archive about CD-i articles, prototypes, reviews and all kinds of trivia that was available on CD-i.

It appeared that in recent years (2012-2013), the interest in CD-i shifted more to an archive function rather than that new information was added to the database. We don't know what will happen in the coming period, but we will keep the workhorse alive to randomly update it with trivia and keeping the archive available for all those interested in the CD-i format.

There are various ways to contact Interactive Dreams:

-The easiest way is to place a comment on this blog, that will automatically be sent to my personal email. (no matter what post you use)

-A second good communication tool is the CD-i Forum (check the button on the top of the website). You need to register here before you can post. Interactive Dreams has its own subforum here.

-Email directly to interactive[dot]dreams[at]gmail[dot]com

Hi ive got loads cdi games and even a 210 games machine, link ,zelda lukey luke the xmas games plus the accellerator car game all the top games been in my loft for years are they worth any thing.

Bas March 18, 2014 at 6:43 AM

You'd best try that on ebay... Titles like Zelda and Link will be worth some money, but the major load is just worth a few bucks. You can also try to reach customers in the CDinteractive Forum (linked on this page), good luck!

I have a "broken" CD-i 210/20 and I was hoping that you or someone you know could give me some advice on how to fix it..

The problem is as follows:
My CD-i will not start up anymore. No video and nothing in the display.
I have tried almost everything I can think off, but nothing seems to work.
However, some power is going to the system, as the cd tray motor is running. If the tray is ejected when I power the system on, it will close the cd tray.
The fuse in the system does not seem to be broken. I can't seem to see any broken components.
The "eject", "play" and "stop" buttons on the system does nothing as well.

What I have done so far:
Cleaned the system for dust.
Tried removing the DVC.
Unplugged almost everything in the machine and plugged it back in again.
Made sure that every cable is plugged in properly.

I really don't know what to do. The system did turn on early yesterday.
It almost seems like the system is stuck in an action to close the cd tray.

Do you have any idea what I can do? Or have any advice?

Thanks for your time ;)

I am here the first time, so please answer me to my email adress:

I bought a CDi 660. Problem is, it doesn't play video CD's or games which need the cartridge.
What kind of problem do I have? I read that I can personalize my CDi 660. But not with the options button. Furthermore they say I can reject some CD's, so maybe video CD's are rejected? I can't see where I can change it.

Bas, I tried to contact you at your Gmail address, but it said your account is disabled. Are you still checking that address?

Bas May 29, 2015 at 7:14 AM

it's a long time ago since I checked that... Previously all messages were forwarded to my private address. I have to think about something new! I'm still here, so you can always contact me here. Thanks!

PK Thunder May 29, 2015 at 6:48 PM

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! I simply wanted to thank you for your work on the site, which has been very helpful to me as a new CD-i collector, and also ask if you're able to activate my account on the CD-i forums (username goldenband). I don't think Devin's really around anymore.

PK Thunder July 13, 2015 at 3:43 AM

Hi Bas, sorry to be a pest, but is there any chance you could activate my account on the forums? It seems like there are no remaining active administrators over there at all.

Anonymous,  August 14, 2015 at 12:48 PM

Hallo Bas
Is dit iets voor jou?

Bas August 14, 2015 at 1:47 PM

Hi PK Thunder, there's normally no need to activate an account. I couldn't find anything wrong in your profile... Unfortunately Devin is not active anymore!

Bas August 14, 2015 at 1:48 PM

Hallo Anonymous, mooi systeem, maar niet voor de gevraagde 500 euro's. Wellicht voor andere interessant. De plaatjes zijn wel iteressant en geven al mooie details prijs. Bedankt voor de link!

Hi, Do you know what laser drive the CDI 350 uses at all?

Just got one today and it does a double click, then stops reading.

TheMessiah January 19, 2019 at 7:30 PM

Hey!! I need some major assistance. I recently bought a CDI 350 and it did not include a power supply. Where in the world can I find one of those? please help. I need to know if it works.
